How is someone’s communication affected by mild cognitive impairment?

Although I am still outgoing, conversations are not as easy for me as they once were. That is what having a memory impairment has taken from me. I often have problems finding the words that I want to say and that can make conversations very challenging. If I am trying to remember what the person just said to me so that I can respond correctly, but there is just too much information for me to retain, it can go wrong pretty quickly. Hopefully I am talking to someone who knows me very well and knows and understands the problems that I have with my memory.
