Nov. 23, 2020 (Chapter 1 Symptoms and Diagnosis & Chapter 2 Acceptance and Denial & Chapter 26 MCI Tool Box in my book)

Once you have had some time to accept your diagnosis, you need to find ways to adjust to your new life. Try not to think about the “what ifs”. If your diagnosis is mild cognitive impairment (MCI) like mine, try not to go down the road of worrying about it progressing to a form of dementia. Chances are that it won’t progress to dementia because only a small percentage of people with MCI progress. Worrying about it just gets in the way of living your life. Either it is going to progress or it is not. I’m not really sure that you can prevent that or make that happen. Try to live your life with a positive attitude.
