I can’t believe that I forgot that

Recently, I’ve noticed that I have been forgetting what a “proper noun” is. I think that this is something that until recently wasn’t a problem for me. I remember that people’s names are proper nouns and are capitalized. The problem happens when I type a state because I am unsure whether it should be capitalized. I am positive that I used to know this. This makes me sad! I am also unsure whether to capitalize Mom or Dad.
