I really hate when someone who is much older than me tells me that they also “forget things”

Those words can be very hurtful to someone like me who has memory problems. I don’t like those comments! It just reminds me of how hidden my memory impairment actually is. The people who have said this to me are usually fifteen or more years older than me. If they only knew what I am dealing with! They are usually in an age group who could have memory problems but it doesn’t mean they have dementia or mild cognitive impairment. It might just be normal memory problems due to their age.
