If you are living with a memory impairment you need to try to have patience for "you". For example, if you are having trouble with your cognition, such as word retrieval, try to practice patience. It might help you to find the word that you can't find. For the most part, I still function fairly well but there are times when I am my own worst enemy. Sometimes I have patience for everyone else, but I lack patience for "me". I am not sure why this happens but I know that there are times when I am very aware of it. I know that I need to get better at this.
