Acceptance is the opposite of denial.
If you are unable to accept your diagnosis, you are probably in denial.
It just means that you aren't ready.
Make sure that when you are ready to accept your diagnosis that you do so.
Staying in denial prevents you from moving on after your diagnosis.
Chances are, you will stay "stuck".
Acceptance allows you to make changes in your life to help you cope with the symptoms.
It does not mean that you have given up!
It takes time to work through the denial process and accepting the diagnosis.
This process is different for everyone.
