Needing some extra processing time

Living with a memory impairment can be challenging for the person with the memory impairment as well as the people who spend time with them. Sometimes if I have trouble understanding what someone is saying to me, all I need is a little extra time to process their words. It doesn't always work but there are times when it is very helpful.
