Dec. 9, 2020 (Chapter 14 Comprehension Problems in my book)
My vehicle is a little more than four years old and it is the first one that I have owned that has sensors in the tires. If one of my tires has low pressure, I will get a message on a screen and it will even say which tire is low. It seems to be very common that when the temperature drops below freezing, I will get a message on the screen. I don't remember what the message says, but I usually ignore it. I think that the cold temperatures trigger it. It doesn’t' tell me which tire is low, so I don't worry about it.
This morning, I noticed the message again and I just ignored it. As I was driving home, I noticed that the message was telling me which tire was low. On my way home, I stopped at a warehouse store to get gas. After getting gas, I decided to stop to put air in the tire. I parked my car. Then I looked at the air machine and the directions. I could not figure out what I was supposed to do, so I just drove home without putting air in the tire.
I think that I have a portable air compressor in the back of my car. When I go out tomorrow, I'm going to see if I have this compressor. I don't think that I have used it for a long time. I am hoping that I can figure out how to use it.
I hate feeling like I should know how to do this but I don't. It just makes me feel dumb, yet I know that I'm not. This is not my fault and I know that this didn't happen when I didn't have a memory impairment.
