Out of sight, out of mind

During the winter at my previous apartment, if there was ice in my driveway, I would have to make a sign that read, "ICE in driveway." I would tape it to the sliding glass door. This would really be a major problem for me when the ice got covered by the snow. Out of sight, out of mind. I would forget that the ice was there.
