Problems with my memory

Lately, As I drove to work in the morning, I was wondering if I left my purse at home or if it was in the back seat of my car. This usually happens about two miles from my home. If I’m pretty sure that I left it at home, I will turn around. I will drive home and get my purse. While I’m driving, if I am unsure whether I put my purse in my car, I will pull over and look on the back seat.
I’m pretty sure that this wasn’t a problem until recently. It doesn’t happen all the time, but very frequently. This recently happened again and I had to drive home to get it. I was so aggravated!
I really need to find a solution to this problem because it is driving me nuts! I decided to take a piece of paper. I wrote “do I have my purse?” on the paper. I placed it on the front passenger’s seat of my car. I’m hoping that before I pull out of my driveway, I will see the note. Only time will tell if this will work or not.
Update: For the most part, this note has been helping me, but there are days when I don’t even think to look at it on my seat.
