Problems with saying numbers correctly

Sometimes while I'm working as a cashier, I will catch myself saying, " one three twenty-nine, instead of $13.29." After I say it to the customer, I will catch myself and quickly correct it. It sounds rather odd for me and I have no idea why it sometimes comes out wrong, but most of the time, I think that I say it correctly. I think that the brain is very complicated to understand.
