Sept. 25, 2020 (Chapter 2 Acceptance and Denial in my book)

Today I saw a post on social media. Someone was writing about their dementia journey. They were explaining how they had found their gift after being diagnosed. They wrote, “When you realize that you were diagnosed with dementia so that you could help other people.” This was my comment, "I think that this is called acceptance. It is when you accept your diagnosis. For me, when this happened, I felt so free!" My goal is also to help people. I want to help people who are diagnosed with a memory impairment, someone wondering what is happening to them and caregivers of people with a memory impairment.
