March 26, 2015 (Chapter 13 Interaction with Spouse or Significant Other in my book)

I know that when sentences are worded like this, I cannot respond because I don't understand. “Do you not want to go shopping?” but if it is worded this way, I know how to respond. “Do you want to go shopping?” Just taking out the word “not” changes it so that I can understand it most of the time. Recently something similar to this happened with my boyfriend and I. I had to explain this to him. He reworded the sentence, taking out the word “not” and I was able to respond. I'm not sure why this happens, but this is just the way it is and I just have to deal with it!
