July 16, 2020 (Chapter 1 Symptoms and Diagnosis in my book)

I saw this on social media. Nine Early Signs of Alzheimer’s Disease

1. Social withdrawal.

2. Mood changes.

3. Poor vision.

4. Bad judgement.

5. Losing or misplacing things.

6. Problems with words.

7. Trouble solving problems.

8. Confusion.

9. Memory loss.

As I read through this list, I realize that I have experienced all of these things except numbers one, two and three. I have not experienced social withdrawal, mood changes or poor vision. This might explain why I was misdiagnosed with dementia in 2005. I think that sometimes it is even difficult for doctors to distinguish the difference between mild cognitive impairment and dementia.
