Too much text!

Today, I took a small appliance out of a box. I think that I bought it at least six months ago. I looked at the user manual so that I could write down the ingredients that I need to buy. As I looked at the manual, there was just too much text for me to deal with. I looked through the manual and I figured out that only the first eight pages were in English. The rest of the pages were in a different language. I decided to tear those out of the manual so that I would have less text to deal with. I don’t think that I have done this before. I do understand why I did it and it makes perfect sense to me. That is the only thing that matters. I will continue to do what is best for me in order to keep my stress level from increasing. In the past, increased stress has usually brought on more memory impairment symptoms, but especially the fog. I like to try to avoid that from happening if I can.

The appliance also came with a seventy-nine-page color recipe booklet. As I skimmed the pages, I noticed that on each recipe page it was in English, then two other languages. I don’t want to rip this large booklet apart, so for now I will just leave it alone. I think that if it becomes a problem, I will just cover the other text with some sticky notes. I think that should work.

Living with a memory impairment means that I am always problem solving. Sometimes it works out but sometimes it doesn’t. I don’t think that there is anything that I can do to change that. I will just keep trying to do my best! Giving up is not an option for me!
