March 15, 2016 (Chapter 6 Living with a Memory Impairment in my book)
One of the most difficult things has been my frustration when my cognition is declining. Sometimes I also lose my patience with me and I usually have lots of patience with everyone else. My frustration can also come from not being able to help people to understand what it is like living with a memory impairment. I really enjoy reading a good book but have had to give up on that because I can't follow a storyline from paragraph to paragraph or from one page to the next. This happens because of my problems with short term memory.
