What is wrong with me?

Sept. 6, 2020 (Chapter 12 Navigating Relationships and Chapter 18 Making Decisions in my book)

Yesterday I received an e-mail from a close friend. She wanted to know if I'd like to come by her home either Sunday or Monday. I replied to her e-mail, "I have no preference because I have nothing going on this weekend. Just let me know what day and what time works for you. " That evening I received this reply from her, " You pick the day. I am ok with either. Let me know what works for you." As I stared at her e-mail I was frozen, unable to reply to her e-mail. The reason for this is that sometimes making decisions is not so easy for me to do. I really needed her to make this decision because if she was waiting for me to do so, it probably wasn't going to happen. I tried to decide but I couldn't decide so I went to bed without replying to her e-mail. I have no idea why I didn't just explain this to her. Sometimes I just can't figure things out and unfortunately, I can't change that.


This morning I got another e-mail from her and this is what it said, "Getting ready for church. How about tomorrow? I can make a lunch early dinner?" I was so relieved that she had made a decision because if she was waiting for me, it just wasn't going to happen. When this happens, I stay stuck! There is no way for me to make a decision so I just wait until I can do that. Now I was able to reply to her e-mail and I was so happy about that. Sometimes even the simplest decisions are very difficult for me to make.
